Andy Ray Burton, DMD DABOI/ID, FAAID, FADII
Dr. Andy Burton maintains implant practices in Hood River and Portland, Oregon. He performs all implant related procedures, such as bone regeneration, grafting, and complex dental reconstructions. He treats the patients that were told they cannot have implants with advanced techniques such as nerve repositioning and zygomatic implants.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. These recognitions distinguish him as an Implant Specialist in the state of Oregon. He is one of only 10 in Oregon and one of 600 in the world to prove his knowledge and skill and be awarded these distinguished honors. Dr. Burton is also a Fellow of the distinguished Advanced Dental Implant Institute. He currently holds positions as and executive member of the Western District for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Board Liaison for the Membership Committee of the AAID, and Board of Trustee for the AAID representing the Western District.
He is the former Vice-President and co-founder of the Comprehensive Oral Implantology Residency Foundation (COIR Foundation). The COIR foundation is responsible for developing and kickstarting the only Comprehensive Oral Implantology Residency Program in North America that is a 3 year Masters of Science Post-Doctoral Program located at Jacksonville University. Dr. Burton served on the curriculum development committee for the Jacksonville University Comprehensive Oral Implantology Residency/Master of Science Program where he teaches advanced dental implant techniques and bone physiology to other dentists.

Dr. Burton is specially trained and licensed to offer IV sedation for the comfort of all patients who desire dental implants, advanced extractions, or sedation for dental fear and dental anxiety. He performs hundreds of implant and bone graft procedures per year, which has made him a leading expert in the field. His empathy, enthusiasm, and passion for implant dentistry sets him apart from his peers.
Dr. Andy's Story

Originally from the Appalachian hills of South Carolina, Dr. Andy Burton graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina and received the “Dentsply Excellence in Prosthodontics” award. He then completed the one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program exclusively in comprehensive full mouth reconstruction from the University of Florida. He served 4 years in the United States Navy as a commissioned Dental Officer and proudly deployed with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit from Camp Pendleton, CA. After leaving the Navy, he settled in White Salmon River Valley and where he continues to enjoy whitewater sports and exploring the Gorge.

Dr. Andy Burton is passionate about dental implants and facial esthetics. He pursues an average of 100 CE hours per year (Oregon only requires 20 per year to maintain licensure) learning the most advanced procedures from the world's leading experts. In turn he has the heart of teacher and shares the most current understandings with his patients and helps them understand their unique situation and how solutions fit their life best. He opened the first of its kind C.A.R.E.® Esthetics Clinic in Oregon focusing on delivering the most advanced procedures in all-natural facial esthetics using lasers and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) technology. Patient advocacy and teaching is at the heart of everything he does.
In addition to being a professor at Jacksonville University's Comprehensive Oral Implantology Residency Program, he is an associate professor at the Advanced Dental Implant Institute, University of Puerto Rico, San Juan Puerto Rico. He shares his experience and knowledge with the AAID Maxicourse® and the Surgical Residency participants from around the world. He founded Implant Masters®, a next level mentorship program dedicated to providing dentists the opportunity to increase the scope of their practice and patient care while working on a daily basis.
In his free time, Dr. Andy enjoys surfing, whitewater sports and family time with his wife, daughter and son. You may see him and his family on an adventure with their Sheepadoodle, “Jude”.
